Our topic:

Our curriculum topic for this term is The Terrible Tudors

We are studying ‘Macbeth’ by William Shakespeare, adapted by Andrew Matthews this term in English. We will be using this amazing play to inspire our writing.

In science we are going to be studying changes to materials, including dissolving and separating mixtures.

In maths we will be learning about decimals and percentages.

In computing we'll be creating a website all about the Tudors, which will include some of our writing as well as digital art and presentations.

You are expected to read for 20 minutes every evening, (you may also be set reading homework on top of this) learn your spellings and times tables and complete at least an hour of maths IXL homework each week.

At Nightingale we are using the Nelson Spelling Scheme. Each week, the class will focus on a different spelling pattern and will have a selection of words using that pattern to practice at home.

The list below shows the spelling patterns and example words for this term. It is expected that there will be other words each week that use the same pattern.
