Nightingale Nursery

Nightingale is a small one form entry, multi-faith, community school.  We are a caring centre of learning and all children are encouraged to reach their full potential.  We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships we have with all our families.

All sessions in the nursery are led by a qualified teacher and supported by Early Years Practitioners.  At Nightingale we are one big family!

Curriculum

We have thought carefully about the Curriculum that we provide for our nursery children and feel that is tailored to suit their needs. Nightingale is situated in a diverse part of South East London and as such many of our children have English as an additional language. This is why our curriculum strives to develop the language and communication skills of our children. Due to our multi-faith community we make sure we develop our knowledge of understanding of difference and culture by learning about the festivals and celebrations that we as individuals mark.

Ultimately we value play as being crucial to a child’s learning and development. Our entire curriculum provides learning opportunities through play and experiences. We actively promote independence and problem solving as we believe this is key to promote future active learners.
